The Coral Banded can only attack a Cleaner Shrimp that is both a lot smaller that itself and is in the middle of molting.
Most mature Coral Banded Shrimp are already much larger than Cleaner Shrimp so that's bad new for the Cleaner when it molts.

ah ok bang thanks for the info so basically what you are saying is the cleaner has to be bigger or just as big as the CBS AND when its molting to have its own hiding area so that the CBS won't find and eat it ? gotcha

It depends on a lot of things - tank size (more space makes for less aggression), food availability (they'll compete to survive if they have to), the size of each shrimp, etc.
I think that coral bandeds vary, too. Some keep to themselves and others go after things. Just the luck of the draw, I guess.

I saw my CBS attack my cleaner several times, sometimes clipping off an antennae right before my eyes. The CBS has even chased my fish, so it's now forever banished to the fuge. It took about 6 months or so with no aggression to finally show it's true colors.

What sized tank do you have? Most of the time the cleaner will stay away from the CBS anyway. Cleaners can move quickly through the water column when they want to, unlike the CBS.

the only thing that the CBS are know for is protecting there area which i am sure he already has established in your tank.

55 gallons sep ....yea my cbs moves slow lol and usually when he is out scavenging for w/e after he's done he goes back to one certain spot of his but sometimes when he's out and about he chases my camel back shrimp but the camel is way too fast for it XD

They can barely move at all right after a molt.

55 is not large. If he has not gotten the camel back though then you should be alright with the cleaner.

I hope that the cleaner works out for you. Just keep an eye on your CBS. They can be mean little suckers, as I am sure you know!
I am just above Poughkeepsie.

My coral banded shrimp is leaving my tank...... After a few monthes of him chasing around my camel back shrimp and it being funny to watch.....eventually the camel back shrimp will have to molt and my coral banded shrimp found out that they taste very good when soft. He's getting put out my tank now I don't recommed having them in with other inverts except crabs.

I guess that's OK, unless you happen to be an invert on the wrong end of the pincers. If you were given a 50% survival rate, would you think that was good? I have avoided introducing other shrimp because I don't want to see them become food.
