Cleaning for silicone

I'm getting ready to silicone my glass partitions into my sump/fuge. The aquarium that I'm using for it used to have fish in it. What should I clean the glass with before I silicone it so the silicone will hold well but won't hurt my the fish in the main tank when it's hooked up?

I'm not 100% sure about ammonia, but vinegar is definitely harmless.

Rubbing alcohol.

Rubbing alcohol, or denatured alcohol (a little stronger) will both clean well and evaporate or able to "wash off" and not affect the tank...
On the other hand...a nice bottle of 180 proof Vodka can make the whole experiance quite a bit more "enjoyable"...
A little for the tank...a little for the cleaner...a little more for the cleaner...etc...

That would mean that I would have to share it with the tank......that's got to be one hell of a tank to merit that. I'll just buy both.......now if I can only do this without getting them mised up!!
