Clown & Anemone

I have a Maroon Clown and a bubble tip anemone. The clown seems to be hard on the anemone, he hits it hard and picks at it, is this normal? The anemone seems to open and close at times to try to avoid him. The clown won't leave the aneome over an inch or two, is this normal? They have been together for five days now.

As long as the Anemone is mature and 4 or 5 times wider than the Clown is long then they should be perfectly compatible. It's a common mistake to get a tiny Anemone for a Clownfish and the results are usually detrimental to the Anemone.
