Clown Fish attacking the other clown fish

I have one clown fish displaying very agressive behavior toward the other one. The less agressive one even jumped out of the tank into the filter system, we got him out, now he just wants to stay in the corner at the top of the water. What is up with this?

Most of the time it is due to one asserting their domination....usually the bigger one will become the female....once the domination is set in stone, the fighting should stop.....when they fight, turn the lights out.
ALSO..I have 4 clowns 2 in a 54G, and 2 in a 225G...they ALWAYS hang out in the same corners of each tank

Are they both the same type of clown? Maroons and Tomato clowns are known for killing other clownfish. These two are the most aggressive of the clowns.

Hi...I'm a newbie here. I have a question about one of my clown fish, this morning I was feeding the fish and noticed somthing on the clown fish fin. I put the clown fish in a glass and when I did that the thingy dropped off him. I'm not sure if it's safe for me to put him back in the tank,I don't nothing bad to happen to my other fish. It looks sort of like a small shrimp but it's transparent where you can see his insides. He has black eyes and two antenna? His tail is like that of a lobster. I wasn't able to attach a pic of him :( Please get back to me as soon as possible so I can know what to do with him, thanks!

Sounds like an amphipod....they are no harm, and good for your tank since they eat waste, and in turn become fish food too

Clowns will get very aggressive with one another if they are both juveniles when put together. Clowns change ---. As pointed out, the larger and more aggressive of the two, will become the female. If a clown does not have a mate then they all become female.
