Clown Fish Question

OK so I just got a new pair of clown fish. They were pretty small when I got them. After about 2 weeks I started to notice small black spots on them. What are these from? Any ideas?

My guess would by hyper-melanization.

Agree here, have you seen them rubbing against some coral in your tank as if they are wanting to be hosted in it.?

havent seen them on anything. All the other fish seem fine, no one is bothering them. They just keep getting more black dots.

Maybe it is what they called "Hyper-Melaninization"

I haven't seen hyper-melanization in years; but isn't it usually blotchy and irregular? If it is black spots, it could be black ich.
