I'm glad he is doing well and looks like he is going to heal just fine.
Question is, what are you gonna do with him long term? Will you try to put him back with the female, or put him in another tank?
I'm not sure yet.....I could put him in the 29G if I have to....we'll see when the time comes I guess

You've got time to think about it. I just hate to see you get him all better and have him beat up again.
That's the one advantage to having multiple tanks!

You may try placing him in the display, and removing the dominate clown to the QT for a couple of weeks. Then move the rocks around a bit in the display. By the time the bossy one returns, the smaller clown may have acquired his territorial instincts.

I could only get a pic of one side of him....No matter what I did...he would not face the other way...he even swam backwards..LOL...I guess he is "side shy"
BUT.....Look at the top of his head :( that wasn't there before......

If he has a new spot, maybe this was not an aggression issue! Hmmm.....wonder what that means.

you mean the head spot from the other day?????? I know.....That spot seems to have shrunken some....BUT....IDK if there was originally something there and it had to "fester" before getting better or not
I just know he is still very active and eating well.....+'s in my book

That's good. I was actually thinking(as long as he heals) it would be a good thing if the cause was something other than aggression!

Are you using zoecon or selcon?
What are your water readings in that tank?
He may be starting to get lymphocyctis in that new development on top of head.

I'll be interested to see what folks say now. With the new pictures I am not as sure as I thought I was before about this being marks from aggression. However I am not good at Identifying disease.

I use both selcon and zoecon.....in the morning I feed either selcon with vita-chem...or zoe & zoecon (I alternate daily) At night I use just selcon one night....or just the garlic soak the next

just curious, why not raise the temp to closer to 80?
LOL....it stays closer to 80 usually...I have one of those dumb stick on types for this tank, and both numbers are glowing...the 78 and the 80.....so maybe I should have said 79....LOL
WHY 80 though???? Is that better when they are sick????

LOL, I hate those thermometers! I swapped to the Coralife Digitals and they're great!
I've always understood higher temperature (80-84) to be better when you have sick fish. Whenever my Tail Spot Blenny breaks out with lympho I hike the temperature up to 82. Also have done this with fish that have ich
