clownfish is eating my anemone...help?

the following pic should explain this but here is the deal...two months ago i had a seemingly happy clown/anemone combo...now i have an anemone that the clownfish has eaten/pulled/chewed off all its tentacles to the point i cant even hand feed it..any ideas anout whats going on? they have been together and working in perfect symbiotic harmony for over a year...i cant think of any major changes that have taken place in the tank or anything...

I hate to say it but the anemone is either dead or going to die. I had a pair of clowns eat an anemone when it became sick. I dont know if they ate it because it was dieing or it died because they ate it, but its not looking up for your anemone.

he was that size when he was paired with the anemone...but they have been together forever...it just seemed "out of nowhere" for this to happen i guess...
i agree things dont look good for the anemone - how will i know when it isnt worth leaving it in the tank anymore?
