Finally got the stand in this week. It has been a hectic week, so I didn't get a whole lot of pictures taken of the progress because I was only able to work on it a few minutes at a time and never thought about getting the camera out when I did have a little time.
Anyway, got the plumbing done and have the tank filled with freshwater for a test of overflow and plumbing. Everything is working well. It has been running for a couple of days and been started and stopped a bunch of times. The overflow has started back up everytime so that is good news.
I am letting the freshwater test run so long because my wife wants to finish off the bottom of the stand with some trim so that it doesn't look like it is sitting on legs. I am waiting on the stand builder to make those peices and he said that he would like to attatch the trim from inside the legs and not use brads from the outside and the trim peices should be done later this next week. I figured that would give me a good chance to check out my overflow and make sure it wasn't going to give me any problems. So far so good.
Here are some pics of the tank filled with freshwater and running.
hi ya i'm actually intrested in this design that you have.
and considing this myself so i'll be looking at this probably everyday lol.
anyway quick question on the intake for the sump are you putting anything to stop corals/anemonies/fish/critters etc etc etc from going in? if so what is it/will it be? ad how will you fit it?
imo this is a very good design though.
