its already going on with youth sports here. outrageous, just setting the kids up for failure. i tell my 2 year old lifes not fair deal with it! these people giving their children false hope, im sure it will always be someone else's fault if their little darling isnt the valedictorian or president of a company. ignorant if you ask me. just bad parenting.

honestly thats the real way to teach them to be an adult, and isnt that the job of a parent to teach their children how to be adults, well mannered, productive adults. not whiney little brats if they dont get to be the star of the play.

start with the truth stay with the truth, you wont have to backtrack and cover up your lies. we dont do santa at our house either, its good boy presents for the year. my son knows about death i dont lie to him when an animal dies or hide it i show him and talk to him about it. the hardest thing is when my son comes to me and asks where's daddy, i tell him he's fighting the bad guys, even harder will be if he doesnt come home.

i'm about as competitive as it comes, but I really have no problem with mellow T-ball games. I used to umpire where they would just let everyone bat twice, then let them run around the bases. Everyone was happy. These kids were just doing this stuff to play it wasn't a competitive league. I'm in no way advocating doing this to everyone, but dont' stick some kid who really just want to chase grasshoppers on the field with kids who really want to play ball. It really worked out for 4 and 5 year old little kids.
