copper and inverts

Hi, I was just reading that copper was harmful to inverts. I knew it was harmful to reef tanks, but didn't realize about the inverts. I've got hermits and a cleaner shrimp and I'm running carbon through my filter. All the inverts seem to be doing fine, but now I'm worried. Should I take the carbon out? I guess I'll need to get a carbon test now eh?

running carbon wont hurt your inverts but copper will kill them along with the bacteria in your rock!!

Carbon does not have copper in it.
