Excellent idea. Nice tank too. I use mysis also for the butterfly with a baster to make sure it gets enough. Mine will actually come to the baster and pick em out ......

I have fed fresh clams before, but always took theprecaution of freezing the clam first to kill any parasites that might be in the animal. Just saying...

Thats a good idea, but I thought they were packed in ice at the store? I could be wrong. Never really bought them fresh.

Being packed in ice doesn't necessarily freeze them - it only keeps them cold so they don't spoil.

OK makes sense, but doesnt ecoli and others survive even freezing?

You are right - many bacteria will survive freezing, but in a healthy marine tank there is enough bacterial competition going on that the chances of a bacterial infection are relativelylow. The bigger worry, imho, would be parasites or pests, most of which would be killed by freezing,

Seeing that video gave motivation to get a CBB, and after trying brine shrimp, etc. I gave it soMe clam on a rock and it ate all it could find. Thanks.
