Coral Banded Shrimp vs Cleaner shrimp

Will a coral banded kill a cleaner shrimp?? It seems my cleaner shrimp has disappeared, and not too long since I have gotten my coral banded shrimp.

WOW, I wish I knew that, I just ordered a new cleaner shrimp from swf.com. My peppermints are still around though. I can't even put it in my other tank, I have one in there too. As cool as this coral shrimp is, I really liked my cleaner...

Crazy, I have a pair of mated CBS's in my 90gal along with Blood Shrimp, Cleaner Shrimp, and Peppermints. I have not once seen a quarrel or lost any of them. I have had them all together now for 2 years.
Maybe they didn't have enough room for their own territory in your tank.

They are opportunistic feeders. They eat what's available. As far as eating tankmates...
Some will some won't. His obviously will.

What do you feed them???? Maybe mine needs more food...lol....man this stinks...
Mine gets leftovers, but they will eat practically anything. Maybe it's just aggressive from it's former habitat.

Well it's a shame, cause I have a couple of corals in the tank, and anemones on the way...will it harm them? This is a 225gallon tank, you'd think there would be enough room

Everyone is talking about the coral banded killing their cleaners. I have both, and my coral banded doesn't even pay any attention to them

Mine before I got him out, killed my White tale Dwarf Angelfish, and my Yellowhead Jawfish, Both were going good until I put the coral banded killer in the tank. I won't have another one.

Most likely not, but there are reports from other reefers that claim they caught their CBS eating a coral...
"From: Chuck
I found my new Coral Banded Shrimp eating my Long Polyp Toadstool last night. I thought these were reef safe? It ate a hole as big as your thumb into the side of the coral. I watched for about 10 minutes, then made arrangements to lose it."
and their other shrimp and fish...
"From: JR
I caught my coral shrimp on the reef about 2 months ago, in the time that it has been in my tank it has eaten both of my arrowcrabs, both of my neon gobies, and the other coral shrimp..."
Keeping their tummies full could curb the aggression.

I feed my fish with a turkey baster. I make a conscious effort to spot feed my CBS. That along with leftovers has kept it docile.
