Coral Id Please Please

I got a coral about a week ago and i notice that next to it there was this, can anyone tell what it is?

xenia, spreads like NUTS, can take over your tank if not controlled

the coral on the picture, the one i got is not this one. so i got two different ones for the price of one. but i dont know what this coral is.

but i though the xenia pulsed and this one does not

xenia only pulses if there is extra light, or more than necessary. what is your lighting?

i have a 125g tank with compact light, i have 500 watts is total

is it standard flourescent?
how many bulbs?
how deep is the tank?
what is the kelvin temperature of the bulbs?

Im almost positive there is 2 different types of xenia, pusling and non pulsing but i could be wrong.

they are t5s and i have 3 actinic and 3 daylight and the are 12k. the tank is about 24 inches deep

One thing i know about the xenia is your iodine levels must be correct for them to be pulsing.

They like moderate lighting so maybe try moving them up a little closer to the light.

ok i just move it like half way to the top of the tank and it has medium flow on it, so will see , thanks for your help, and i hope it pulses

unless you want it on all your live rock leave on the bottom your lights are good enough and dont let it touch anything else

if you are dosing it that much i hope that you are at least testing for iodine levels.
