coral loss

ok i have three corals in my tank at the moment, green mushroom corals(doing great), pulsing xenias(lost half of the colony but the other half is doing decent), and a finger coral( lost most of it but the part facing up towards the light), is this normal at all?

Loosing anything is not normal...it sounds like a light issue..What kind of lighting do you have on the tank?
Mushrooms don't need allot of light, but Xenia and finger corals do.

I had the same problem with my xenia it kept closing up and dying. My LFS told me to use lugols(sp?) solution to bring up the iodine. It worked. But you have to follow the direction carefully. You dont want to overdose the tank. JMO
 
Well to make things worse I was informed on one of my previous threads that I have white xenias and they are the hardest to care for, go figure lfs got me that time( I specified easy care corals to start )

ha, he comes on here posting junk becuase he has no life. and then proceeds to tell us how our lifes suck. Sad and humerous at the same time.
