Coralline turing pure white?

My beautiful purple/pink coralline is turning white in a few areas. I got it about 2 months ago where it was in an established tank for over 5 years. My water parameters are perfect. I had my lfs test it to make sure my tests are still good. Everything is within range. I have new coralline growing on the glass, filters, etc so I can't figure out what's going on. Any ideas what is causing this? Should I be worried? Could my cuc or my bicolor angle be cuasing this? Thank you!

Some type of toxin brushed over it. Was there a Colt coral frag floating over it, did you frag any Zoanthids or Xenia? Is there a nearby LPS that sent out sweepers?

This has so many meanings that it's meaningless. What are the actual parameters? Especially Carbonate Alkalinity.

Thanks B.G. Wow, you're good. I added a few zoas last week, but they are on other rocks with no sign of the whitening. Maybe some toxins got into the water? Sorry I was too general on the water parameters. I will test again and provide the actual data. As a reef newbie, I appreciate the help.

Zoanthids tend to slime when moved around or removed from water as protection. Once you put them back into water the slime will fall off and float around the tank. It's VERY toxic (wear gloves). Rinsing them off in tank water before placing them can help. Treat the rinse water as toxic meaning make sure no pets drink it and it doesn't splash onto anyone.

Thank you! I guess I learned the hard way. Anything I can/should do at this point, or just let nature do it's thing? Maybe more carbon?

It will turn green pink and then back to purple as if nothing ever happened.
No harm with running some carbon.
