Have you had any issues due to Ice storms? Sometimes were w/o power for days in Oklahoma...Nice corals, by the way.
The last ice storm we had here was 200...I was out of power for 8 days, but only had FW then
I now have a generator, and an inverter that runs off a car battery, and also a small ac adapter that you can plug into your car cigarette lighter
I'm prepared if we ever need to be again

Do you use the LFS in the area? Most of them are not good at all here. I pretty much stick with one place in edmond. I've wanted to order online, just haven't yet. saltwaterfish has great reviews, so they must be a good supplier. I'm just wondering if I'm not home during delivery, where they will leave my livestock.

LOL...LFS..LOL...I live in the SE corner of OK...There is not a fish store closer than 90 miles...I have ordered 90% of my livestock and corals from SWF, and have been extremely satisfied with everything I have received.
I always have them ship it either to my job Mon-Thurs...or home on Fridays
I think fed exp will leave on your doorstep if you request that...BUT with the heat here I wouldn't do it.

I actually like it too...I am seeing more places for corals

Excellent

It looks better without the plant...
Oh yeah, you have tons of room for coral. I really like your coral selection, but I agree here about sps. You should get some
...and more lps too...and some rics...
The anemone looks awesome
How's your coraline?

I have always wondered about the seeming, to me anyway, lack of open sand bed you have for the ray to cruise on. I wonder if your tank would be better suited for the ray if you had it scaped like this?

Then he could cruise the perimeter and if he wanted could actually do some figure eights too. The would center your rock "islands" almost under the two outside MH's.

Let me tell you....I will have to video this ray in action...it owns the right side first of all....it glides up, down and around EVERYWHERE....it is actually so graceful to watch. It has room in the ctr too if it chooses, and has at times buried itself there....BUT really really likes the right

That is kind of what I mean, I think they are very graceful and love to watch them cruise the perimeter of the 500 gallon tank at one of the LFS's. Kind of like a shark where they do the perimeter for the most part but will use any open space when they want to bury.
Just my thoughts, I don't have and never have had one but I know what I like to see. Don't get me wrong please, I am sure you are happy with your tank and it's critters, just voicing an opinion.
Your tank does look wonderful. I can't wait for you to start throwing some sticks (SPS) in there!!!

Yes the cap is SPS and a good starter.
Any other of the cap colors.
Green Bali Slimer is an easy to care for Acropora.
Montipora digitata is another stick type coral and easy to care for.
Seriatopra, birdsnest coral are easy relitively fast growers.

I'd do the birdnest. Fast growers and look real cool to me.
