Cowboys vs. Saints

I'm just getting ready to bait the hook. Yes, Ware is an OS backer both in Dallas scheme and how he also plays on field. Dallas only plays a 4-3 in some passing situations and that is when Ware lines up at DE.
I've seen/played enough football in my old life to know a 3-4 base defense.
THe primary goal of a 3-4 is to contain the outside. That is why the OS backers line-up wider on the line of scrimmage then the DE's in a 4-3 base. Lining up 2-3 yards behind the front line is usually not how the OS backers lineup in a 3-4.
I'm just about to cast my line now.
Nice win for Dallas...although they did not impress me on defense......but they did shut down Atlanta in crunch time.
Nice bounce back after the tremendous beat down.

man my speakers in my car must be broken and the radio announcers must not know a thing, cuz they introduced the Dallas D as a 3 - 4 and D Ware as a weak side line backer...
when i arrived home to watch on the NFL N i have noticed that every time a TE or a RB lines up in the slot or goes into the flat 94 picks up coverage almost every time... he is also lining up in a 2 pt stance alot... my eyes have got to be deceiving me though...
its a great first half anyhow!!! Vick cannot afford to make another mistake!!!

I missed the beginning of the game as I was stuck in the Sprint store. I missed the first quarter, but most of the action/scoring was in the second.

Weird, usually by now there are a bunch of articles posted about the "New America's Team" :notsure:
Guess Brees and Payton must of spent as much time patting themselves on the back this week as Scuba did.

the Bucs almost got the monsters... i was happy to see Gradkowski go to the bench... he was like 5 of 16 for 38 yds... PATHETIC!!! he missed atleast 6 passes short and the rest were just horrible!!! Rattay sparked the offense, but the turnovers killed the Bucs!!! the Bucs play Cleveland next week so hopefully we can beat them (they played the Ravens tough yesterday)...
NO just didnt look hungry yesterday!!! the #2 spot is still up in the air!!!

Tough loss but great effort.
I see DeMarcus Ware made the Pro Bowl as an OS backer. I guess he is there as a OS backer in name only.

Heck, he might even actually play as an OS backer there unlike what he does for us but i doubt it.
Better not slip up against the great Eli

Yep...Garcia is palying well and looks really good on the field. I thought Philly would fade but they have hung in there. I like Westbrook...he is tough to scheme against and stop. They have an excellent chance of winning. ALso, Garcia may have that intangible edge given the history he has with TO. Should be an entertaining game. I often think that and it ends up being a beat down game.
Saints have already clinched the nfc south. I am hoping for a second seed but the game this weekend with the Giants will be tough as the Giants MUST win this one.
I'm very satisfied with the showing coming off a 3-13 season. Division champs is quite the accomplishment...hoefully they can do more in the playoffs. Second seed and a bye would be yet quite the accomplishment...but if not....they'll at least play at home in the first round.
Dallas may end up as a wild card.....should they lose on Christmas. I like Philly to win the game.....just a hunch/gut feeling because Dallas is better on paper. Also, it gives the Saints a shot at the second seed should they lose on Sun....so I gotta pull for Philly.
I'll be watching the game at the local watering hole as they are going to give away a COwboys windmill. If I win ...I'm gonna sell the piece of crap on flea bay or use it to build a fire up at the cabin.
The afc wild card race is also going to be interesting.

Philly definitely looks good the last few games so it should be tough. We basically gave them the game at Philly and Bledsoe played like crap so hopefully if we dont turn it over 50 times and Romo plays well we should win. We better get our secondary together though or else we could be in trouble. The last 2 games, weve let qb's sit back against a 4 man rush and have 10 seconds to decide where to throw. No corners, especially ours, can cover receivers for that lond. We need to start blitzing more, it cant have a worse result than sitting back has had the last 2 games(9 TDS PASSES :scared: ).
Bill needs to start blitzing Williams more often instead of having him guard someone faster than him 40 yards downfield. I wish someone could explain why we leave him 1 on1 with receivers. At least 2-5 times a game, Henry without a jam or anything, lets his receiver go and releases him to Williams to cover downfield all by himself. I thought Henry/Newman were responsible for guarding teams main receivers 40 yards downfield not Williams

Its a big advantage being at home on Chritstmas day so we HAVE to take advantage of that and win. Hopefully, NY can help us out a little and give us the #2 seed back.

Philly by 3...Gramatica misses a BIG kick and Parcells craps his pants realizing he has no clutch kicker going into the playoffs. He is so disgusted he trips over his left boob on the sidelines after the miss.

Despite being much shorter than some other games winners this year, Grammatica has made arguably the biggest clutch kick of the year for any team already. Considering the importance of the game, the stadium, weather and the fact it was his 1st real attempt in almost 2 years, Grammatica's game winner against the Giants was as clutch as you can get

Regardless of his overall numbers, Grammatica has already shown he has 10 times the sack Vandershank had. Personally, i'm much more confident with him in the clutch than Vanderchoke.

62%?!?!?! I wish!! I'd have about 6 supermodels under my belt if he answered 62%

At least Grammatica made the clutch one. Vanderchoke could barely(if at all) make the easy ones. Pressure kicks required a diaper and someone standing 5 yards to the side of the goalposts to catch the miss when Vady kicks.

I couldnt agree more with this I have said and will keep saying Williams would be a better player if he was moved to a line back spot. He cannot cover elite recievers he is 2 slow ... they are wasting his power. Henry needs to stay on his man ... I dont see the big hype with our secondary ... way over rated. Hopefully TO can help us out.... The eagoles have been using Garcia's 49er experience and running alot of west coast offense. If TO could come up big anywhere the time would be now. Tell our defense what to expect from this second rate QB. Garcia will probably be brought back to reality this weak if we send more than 3 his way. Then again if we give him 12 seconds a play the game is theres for the taking. SCARY situation this late .. we can lock down division and keep ourselves in the running for a bye ... or we can totally screw our selves and wind up losing the division along with 1st round home field advantage.
