what is a "bald face lie"???
so if terrance newman blitzes does that make him a CB LB or DL???
ya... i think i am with Scuba, TXReef and Whitey and maybe even Oceanists... i think i am done debating football with you... you always need the last word and even when faced by facts it doesnt matter to you... its what emmitt wants it to be... so go ahead and get all your jabs in and keep correcting all that isnt emmitt...
best of luck to you...

a base unit is the starting positions... not wether or not they blitz 99% of the game...
RU.....I see you are fishing today. Amazing how they jump right in the boat.
Eventually, you'll be called stupid either with some comment, etc...so there really is no point. The thread will end up getting locked as most do once you get sucked in.
If you are going to fish......do it a different way. This way, the thread will remain open...and your ice chest is full.

Roflmao!!!

What fact did you face me with??? That we list Ware as a LB??? The fact is that in the game, he lined up in the defensive end spot EVERY SINGLE play except for the very 1st one. Notice nobody is refuting that. By your own post, what adjustments are we forcing an offense to make when we rush the same person from the same spot 90% of the time in our "3-4". Real confusing to a defense
i said we run a 3-4 in name only. The facts show that we do and you cant refute them. We may have a quasi 4th linebacker in Ware but we dont employ the fundamentals of a 3-4, not even close.
The bald faced lie is that Ware lined up in classic LB position behind the line numerous times. He didnt once. If you ever wanna watch a true 3-4, check out NE.
No, if Newman blitzes it doesnt make him a lb. If he starts blitzing from a LB spot 90% of the game, then yes he is basically a linebacker.
So funny, cant back up any of your arguments or refute my facts from the game so......

Better save a tape of the game, you can watch that in lieu of an actual Superbowl DVD

Yep....entertaining. I'm sure you have seen many teams RU at the college and pro level running a base 3-4. MANY times the two OS backers will line up next to the DE"s on the line of scrimmage.
Too bad we have to follow the tag and release program.

Yep, "MANY" times they do. Different ones. Just let me know when you see a team line up the EXACT same "LB" in the defensive end position EVERY single play of the game except for the very 1st play. Oh, and also have the same "LB" in a 3 point stance as a defensive end for at least 25% of the game and every single goalline snap ***)
Hilarious picturing you and RU googling "3-4 defense" and trying to find something tto refute anything ive said. Lemme know when you find something :help:

RU....you down for Frisco or Seattle tonight? I gotta pull for Frisco to make sure the Saints hold on to the #2 seed. I still like many of the Seattle players though plus I do like their team overall. I hope we see a good game to make things interesting.

Sorry...gotta pull against you tonight. Seattle needs to right the ship a little and get ready for the playoffs. They sure have slipped closer to the pack from last year.
I beleive injuries have slowed their progress down, but they were not playing that well before the injuries.
I still like the overall team and Holmgren is a solid coach. He's done well since they relieved him of the GM duties.
I do not beleive Darryl Jackson the WR will play tonight for Seattle.
Gore is having a great year. He is a solid RB. Nolan is doing a good job with Frisco as well. he has them playing respectable football nad you can no longer call them among the worse in the nfl. You can see they need to plug a few holes but he at least has them headed in the right direction.
Enjoy the game.
PS...When the fish start jumping in the boat put the pole down and pick up a bat

Looks like GREAT weather tonight for the game......you'd need three rain coats to stay dry.

If they can't keep the power on...they may not be able to play the game. Looks pretty nasty to me. If you had a surfboard you could hang 5 in the stands.

I actually thought the reciever took a dive on the play. Contact was very light IMO.
Yep...things might fall right in place for a #2 seed at a minimum.

Yeah, I did not think that play was pass interference either. I think the 49ers player played the ball better than Burleson did.
I still think the Seatle wideouts are one of the key things holding that team back. They are paying Jackson, Burleson, and Branch big money and DJ Hackett is becoming Hassleback's favorite target. None of them can really catch the deep ball all that well though.
I could not believe Alex Smith was able to make that throw for the touchdown to Gore. That was an incredible play. I am really becoming impressed with Smith. And it's amazing - last year, everyone said that he would never amount to anything because he had small hands. Shows how much they know.
