Do you have a skimmer in the tank, Meowzer?
Theresa, I don't keep an airline in the tank, but I use an airstone-driven skimmer instead. My feeling is that it serves two functions: skimming (obviously) the DOC's from the tank, and providing additional oxygenation. I'm a big fan of this method of adding O2, it really seems to work in my tank.

I have a seaclone 100g protein skimmer. and I added the airline tube last night. I ordered the koralia yesterday, and should get it next week. I am still trying to suck some of this stuff out with a baster too. I do not want it to get out of control. Is there anything else I could do? Anything that maybe eats extra stuff that can be with a seahorse?

I have some red bubble algae that sits on the top of my powerhead...no where else...just on my powerhead....weird...but I bought 3 pencil urchins and theyv'e gone to town on it...and all the other "nuisence" algae in the tank...and yes, there seahorse safe....it's funny to watch your seahorse catch a ride on one....slow,but funny

Well this algae I have has what seems like little air bubbles in it...I looked up those urchins, they are pretty weird looking...LOL...it says to monitor with corals though, I have colt coral, zoas, musrooms, ricordias all in this tank...will they be ok with this type of urchin??

I have colts , mushrooms , rics , carpets and xenias but not zoas... my urchins haven't even touched my corals...cleaned around them, but not on them...so I'd assume the zoa's are safe also

What about lettuce nudibranch...I think they are very peaceful and also eat algae...they would probably be good in a seahorse tank...

I wasn't sure what bryopsis was so I just looked it up...LOL...I also looked up lettuce nudibranches in a few different sites and all they say is they eat algae...I lloked up seahare, and they say they omit a purple dye if startled....can that hurt a seahorse???

I had one in my 225g, but I think the stingray ate it...don't know for sure. Either that or it just died somewhere.
