Cyano issue

as long as your other lights come on your sps wont be affected. they just may lose a little color. i will turn them on for tomorrow. like i told KAT, put a black garbage bag well a piece of it ontop were the cyano is growing like that you can keep your lights on and place a rock ontop of the piece of bag so it wont float away,

I can't do that....they are random areas, many can not be reached...
so you are saying put the MH lights back on tomorrow?????????
 
I had a small problem with Cyano some time ago. I found out that if your bulbs are old and the spectrum is off they will cause cyano. I replaced the bulbs and added some conch snails, the cyano was gone in two days. I never had the problem again. I always keep conch snails in my tank now just incase

LOL...I just changed the metal halides January 8
...and the T5's are not due till June
I may order some more conch though.....do you have the large Florida ones, or the small dwarf ones?

LOL, well I guess its not your Metal halides. The conch I have are small, the largest is about 1in. They are always in the tank moving around.
