I had to call the wife into the room to look at your pictures. We both agree; VERY NICE work indeed. Inspiring to people thats for sure. Love the way the outside corner is open.
Anyway, great job
and thanks for sharing. Barry

I hope you got this covered but......Maybe you should leave some access doors over the tank so you can reach in and clean the glass, move a pc of LR/coral or any other type of maintenance.

Thanks Barry, that is always good to hear from experienced hobbyists whose tanks are spectacular...and if wife approves...even better they are always the BOSS...

Thanks king, the wife and I had many "discussions" on color. And to be honest with you, I didn't know how the blue would come out with ANY color we were tossing around, but I was fortunate that it did come out pretty nice. The original color (tank) was a sky blue, that I didn't particularly care for, so I scraped that off and actually used the color my son had picked out for his room: Neptune Blue. That color on the wall (Camel Ride) will flow through to the most of the rest of the house, so I am glad we chose a pretty nice color.

Yes indeed G13...I do have that covered, if you look at the 2nd set of pictures (3rd and 5th photo) and the 3rd set of pictures (3rd photo), you will see an opening just to the left of the open side of the tank there....and back there is open space to allow for me to go in there and play with things as needed....plumbing, storage for all my aquatic products, etc. That is why I had opted to just put up the drywall without any openings from the front of the tank....and the only way to see the opening is to go around to that side. From entering the room, it will look like it has always been there..
And thank you BellaNavis......well folks thanks for all the kind words, I nee to get down there and try to touch up and start getting ready to clean up...my folks are coming into towh this week for the holidays, and I have to get the room back in order....

Great Job. Thanks for the pictures.

Thank you and I hoped it helped your cause, I know that my wife was you're cutting off the whole room....LOL...lots of convincing, nasty drawings because I am no artist...LOL....outlining in tape...finally she said oh go ahead, because I was being stubborn and a pain in the .... you know....but now she loves it....
She really wasn't into the whole fish hobby at all, fresh or salt. We had never had one, and I jumped straight into salt. She started coming around, and now, she is out there window shopping more than I am....well for corals and livestock...I am in charge of coming to her with budget plan for all of the equipment...and course cleaning and maintaining...so I am on here the most. But thanks again. Hope your wife liked it...as I mentioned before...they are the true bosses...LOL

compjtc, Thank you very much. I made sure that I picked up the moisture and mold resistant drywall panels for a couple of extra bucks per panel. So I hope that it serves its purpose and withstands the humidity.

That is cool.....I am hoping to get my Certified Forensic Accountant designation someday when I grow up...LOL...I have been doing this since April / May. I have fish only right now, but running through these forums and threads have inspired me to try getting a reef together and definitely a larger tank. I currently have a 42 gallon, this one is a 135. I love this site and have learned so much. I really hate having to wait for all of the equipment, but feel that it will all come together well once I do finally get it up and running. See you around the forums and talk to you later....I think my wife is supposed to go Melville sometime this upcoming summer for business...perhaps we can all meet up for dinner and run to one of you LFS or two...

Sure. When she goes to Melville you can stop by Brooklyn and have a very nice dinner.
