did you 'google' her? Also check myspace and facebook.
You may find some things she really likes that you didnt know, and you may also find out that she is an axe murdering man that had a --- change.

It does feel a little like spying though.

What are her interests? How can you marry them with your own to come up with something unique to do that includes a little of both?
A little early to be using that word.

How about both of you open up a bottle of your favorite beverage, have some chocolate covered strawberries, a little Barry White on in the background and spend the evening surfing Saltwaterfish dot com.

I don't think I'll be using the M
word for a long time there too...
But I like the surfing swf.com idea.

Ok, so I've summarized the responses, generalized a bit, and made a list in 2 categories so far.
early on in relationship:
picnic at a park, lakeshore or beach.
public aquarium
local sports event
casino
comedy club
museum
local fair or festival
zoo
check out local historical ...um... stuff (ships, lighthouses, etc)
row boat ride
walk along beaten path
skiing
evening walk along beach
dressed up fancy restaurant
mountain hike
shopping
grilling out
wine picnic
explore local city life
more serious:

day spa
surf swf.com with romantic atmosphere (gotta get far enough not to scare them away
)
Am I missing anything?

Got any wild wetland areas out there? Take her out for a romantic evening of chasing fireflies
or an afternoon walk to the see the wildflowers.

Get in the car and drive to whatever town is about an hour away. Then walk through the shopping part of town, touristy part of town, find a hole in the wall place to eat. (Of course when we did this gas was much cheaper
)

Yeah, there are a few nice towns like that around here, but you're totally right, gas prices don't really help that one too much.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned a botanical garden. I love those places and actually went on a date to one a long time ago.
Another thing is to do something around a hobby, if you both like to hike, then go for a nature walk on Sunday morning. Nothing beats the fresh morning air and then you can have breakfast afterwards. This does not suggest that you have just spent the night together. You go and pick her up and off you go for your walk.

I like that idea there.

Someone did mention Hershey Gardens, which for the non-local people is a botanical garden in Hershey that's sorta on a big hill overlooking HersheyPark. I wouldn't say it's a great garden, but it's ok.

Whatever, there are all kinds of cool bugs in the botanical gardens, and koi ponds where you can find fish that will eat those cool bugs that weren't mashed while in your pocket!
note- in texas half the time koi ponds have a few bass in them.

Honestly, she hasn't seen the tank yet. I like to show it off, but I also don't want to seem like a show off.

Well this is key, her eyes need to light up. Or you'll be in trouble everytimg you bring something home like I always am...

Okay, you are making them sound more attractive, if I could bring a fishin' pole and all....

Take her to the garden, and then dining at the circular room at the Hotel Hershy (make sure you have a jacket for it). Who cares if you hate the garden, dating is about impressing her so you can, well um.... do stuff after the date.
