That's awesome! I had a guy ask me on a date about a million times. But he was loaded and I didn't wanna be an arm bracelet, so after multiple turn downs, I finally told him he can take me out, IF he found a date that required NO spending.
After about a week he took me on a first date and we went fishing.

Later I found out that he bought all new stuff and came home and scratched it up in the dirt so I didn't find out he just bought it.

It was very sweet. And well thought out. The guy was rich, sweet and good looking. But he had this "thing" where he'd ask out a girl, and if she immediately said yes, he very quickly lost interest. Because of his qualities, everybody said yes to him.

We ended up together for about a year. Then I had to dump him cause he got stupid.lol

Yeah, that's a shame, people need to not get bored with what they have so easily. Reminds me of a child (being the parent of a 4yr old and all)

Well, he didn't get bored... I mean, c'mon it's me! The snake/deer wrestler.
But instead he...in a heated argument accused me of stealing from him in front of all his friends.
So I packed my stuff and left (from FL to NC. Back to mom and dad's house as I was pretty young)
He showed up about 4 times soon after, but ya know, I had seen a bad side to him and we weren't married so I didn't HAVE TO stay.

You see you can't have it all, he had the looks and the money, but he obviously had NO BRAINS!!!

tizz i have a friend whose husband( of all people ) did the same thing then when he checked with the bank and such ,found out it was HIS mistake and came crawling back

Monk good luck wif your woman. you are a great guy and if she breaks your heart i will break her nose

that being said my dad took my mom on a date in the snow they skated with their shoes on a frozen pond and when they were finished he took her to sit on a bench under a huge tree where he had buried a bottle of wine in the snow, they drank wine and watched the snow- wrong season i know but keep it in mind for when winter comes

Honestly speaking, it all depends on what kind a gal she is. If she seems to be high maintenance (which you can spot quickly) then you need to do the high dollar date deals, but if she is down to earth kind, then trying to impress her is going to do more harm than good. I've never liked the *look at me and what I have* approach.

Right on, she's definitely down to earth and I'm certain she's not high maintenance. I don't really go for those types anyway and I'm not one to show off, more humble than anything.

The only thing that I have that she likes and I'm more than happy to "show off" with is my bike...hehe.

Thanks Jenny, that's very sweet.

And that is definitely a good idea for when the season comes around.

I paid attention, and it'll go on the next revision of the list.

It's hard commenting enough when I'm actually researching these ideas...hehe. I have absolutely no work to do until my last day at this job on Tuesday so it's all web surfin' until then...

Yeah, this guy did the same. He "misplaced" a thousand bucks.
But he found it as soon as he'd finished accusing me.

I know, I was joking too...
