I had a black and pink sea cucumber die and it killed all of the vertebrates in my tank!! How will I know when it's safe to add fish once again and start ALL OVER?!?

Your tank is safe now if the ammonia level is back down to zero. The toxin is very short lived. I would do a few water changes and run carbon just to be on the safe side.
