You triggered my memory from long ago. Like others here when I had a fresh water tank I used a window screen to cover the top. For fish that are likely to jump when feeding because this is how they capture live food in the wild. You can have a screen made with a Plastic Screen Wicket door. A wicket is an opening that allows easy access to casement or awning window operator. You install your own wire into the wicket to match the rest of the screen. This hinged wicket has a snap-type latch for secure closure. Can be installed along any section of the screen frame.
