DEAD SEBAE ANEMONE?

hey i just purchased a white sebae anemone today about an hour after i put it in the tank it shriveled and the tentacles are super thin. I have 150wat halides 14k and all water prmtrs are good.
any reason why?

Give it time to adjust......How did you acclimate it?

i kept in floating in the bag in the water for 30 min, then gently picked it up and placed it on the sand bed

So you only temperature acclimated it......you did not get it use to your actual water at all????
Too late now, BUT......you have to gradually let it get use to your water parameters....read acclimation tips....
I would just leave it alone.....hopefully it is just annoyed....sometimes they take a lot of time to adjust anyway

Can you post some pics? There is no such thing as a white sebae. A white sebae is an anemone that has expelled its zooxanthellae, which it needs to survive. They will expel the zooxanthellae due to stress, shipping, inadequate water parameters, and poor lighting just to name a few reasons.

sorry my mistake its tentacles are yellow with purplish blue tips. sorry about that.
any thoughts?

The tentacles should be a brownish color. A lot of sebaes on the market are purposely "bleached", since they are more aesthetically pleasing in the white color. I would just provide it the best environment possible with strong lighting, great water parameters and feed it meaty foods about two times a week. It is not uncommon for them to inflate and deflate their tentacles from time to time.
