your tank (in the past) was one of the reasons I started a nano reef , and after almost 1yr out of it...you got me started again!
I have a 14gal mantis tank , and am getting a JBJ 28gal CF-Quad 2marrow. Hope my new tank looks as nice as some of yours

In post 101, 1st photo, what is the reddish thing on the rock on the upper left side? Looks like a small bta, is it?
When you decide to cut those maxi minis, let me know, we can do some serious trading, yours are just
I am so nerious to cut mine but have to, thinking they won't split on their own.
Your tank is just amazing. So beautiful, it brings tears to my eyes.
Ah thanks so much =) That red thing is a mini rose anemone.
I just bought 5 more beautiful maxis. They should be here on Wednesday.
Did you buy any recently from nano-reef? There have been a lot of people selling some really nice ones.
I also cut 4 maxis a few days ago and they seem to be doing well.

Those are BEAUTIFUL CLOWNS. I love my True Percs but those are absolutely stunning.
Also how big do the maxi minis get in all?
Thank you! Mine are about 4 inches across, but I have heard of them getting up to 8".

Lauren, any updates?

I'm not really liking this tank. It's not going the way I had imagined it would. I'm going to get a 40g ADA and start over with LEDs.

ah thanks!! it's good to see you back!
I all ways try to quit saltwater, but then I look at all the stuff I've collected through the years and i say NO WAY! lol If I quit and then decide to get back into the hobby later, I would never be able to find a lot of the stuff I have now.

Why do you always try to quit? I could never quit this hobby. Not afford it, maybe, or not have the room for it, but I could never quit. Even if I lived in Hawaii and could snorkle every day, I still would love to have it in my living room.

So are you going to keep this tank and also do a 40gal? *Sniffs* would kill for a bigger tank *lol*

I get tired of it consuming my time and money.
This hobby is really an expensive addiction... I just spent$550 on anemones a few days ago!! and no I can not control the spending lol
I get way too distracted by my tanks and I have to stick my hands in and do something ALL THE TIME. I can't even do HW in my room anymore bc every time I start reading my attention wanders on over to my tank lol
I love my stuff too much to quit, so I'm stuck in the hobby.

No, I'm going to get rid of this tank. I wanted to get at the biggest a 30g (I think nanos are way nicer than big tanks), but my picassos are so big now that I don't think it would be fair to stick them in a 30 gallon, so 40 gallons it is!

Thats because you are a woman and you guys uuuh... gals like everything petite. lol

I will say though I'm a big fat guy and I like a properly done nano just as much of not more than some big tanks. Sometimes is nice to see everything up close- nowhere for livestock to hide or disappear to OR places for maxi minis to settle in that they cant be viewed nicely! lol MY darn bubble tip likes the backside of one of my rocks towards the top so you only see 1/10th of him from the front. Was hopin id be able to coax him upfront a little with food and flow but then the clowns fell in love with him and so it stays!! BLAH! lol oh well. If I had your tank he couldnt hide.

I can't seem to find any mini carpets for sale. If you happen to know where I could find one please leave me a visitor message or a post. I really love the mini rose too.

I just sold about 40 of my minis, but I'm going to wait for the rest to split before I sell more of them. Last week there were about 4 or 5 different people selling maxi minis on nano-reef.com. If you are really interested, I can tell you a few of the members there that I know for sure have/had some for sale.

You are right! Nanos are awesome! it's so easy to pack them and make them look stunning. I just can't get into big tanks.... not my style.
Have you seen my new nano in the nano section? it's going to be a mini carpet only tank.

When you get one of those amazing red ones, let me know....I know it will cost a fortune to ship (I live in boonies), but will be well worth it

Your are very artistic with all your tanks and I believe that one day you will get a big tank and put us all to shame, you have a nack for aqua scaping
