Peeling it off tupperware should be easy compared to removing them from rock work. Just start at an edge and using you fingernail very gently work an edge up, gradually you should be able to work it free. If it is only attached to the plastic, take it out of the water and work on it. If I am able to take them out of the tank I do, it is much easier.
How big is it? I think it needs more circulation than it is going to get in a tupperware container w/ holes. How about a strawberry basket?

What's an Okie idea?
The only place I ever heard the term Okie used was in The Grapes of Wrath set during the dust bowl depression. It was a derogatory name given to the poor starving people from Oklahoma.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My guess would be... an idea that was not exactly good?

From what I have READ...Take a power head, and point it at the base, and supposedly it will eventually realease from it

Yes, it's a pink tube anemone with really long tentacles, the thing is about 12" around, and no powerhead is going to get down there where he has dug in. I would find it a new home but I guess he is mine forever. It is so large the fish get stung swimming past it. My copperbanded butterfly was its last victim.

On the plus side it is right in the middle of the tank like a center piece, and it is really beautiful.

Oh sorry to hear that. I have no experience with tube anemones. If it's attached that well, you may need to cut away some of the rock w/bone cutters to get it off, that's how I remove my mini carpets. Sounds beautiful.
Wish I could be more helpful

Thanks anyway. I am going to just live with it. It does shrink down into a little gray sac. I could get it out then, but I am afraid of hurting it. The copperband is gone, and the other fish seem to have no problem navigating around it for now.

I've heard that you could rub an ice cube on the foot and since they don't like the cold they'll let go. When I had to remove mine I just gently rubbed the foot starting from the edge and he gradually let go.

I guess Ill let it slide then! And lmecher and meowzer, you are both correct. Its basically a term that is the equivelent of "jerry rigging" something (a cheap but effecient fix out of something totally not intended for the purpose you are using it for) Us "okies" are creative ya know! ... and cheap
