DILEMMA...Please help me

I have had 2-3 stripes for over a year and they are like flies around new fish that are added, never doing any harm, just buzzing them. Then after a day or two they get bored with it and go back to hovering and ignoring the world. I love my damsels, even though I have to dismantle the reef if I have to catch them. They are really fast for such a chubby and stocky little fish.

I know my LFS will take them. She took mine, they were biting me as well. I also had to remove 150lbs of rock to get 'em out. But it was worth it. My blue damsel is cool, but the 3 stripe and domino had to go. You can call her and mail em' to her maybe. Or if you feel like driving 4 hours for some Damsels!

I like the fuge idea. You can keep an eye on them, they can be in what will amount to a long timeout.

I disagree. Clove oil makes them fall asleep and freezing them wouldn't be much different than freezing us. Their organs would shut down and even though it's better than flushing, I think there would be some pain unlike the clove oil...

I actually have 3...my 54g has seahorses, and the 29g is new....and there is no way they are going in there..
I doubt I will flush them
I don't have the mean streak in me...

I totally understand, ive been trying to catch my clown trigger (before he gets nasty) and well my nasty 5in maroon clown bites me and stuff, but i have also been trying to rip one of the anemones out too though... man they have a heluvah grip on the LR.

This THREAD IS GETTING REDICULOUS! ITS ONLY TWO DAMSELS!!!...
The only resonable way of doing this is to chriogenically(cant spell it) freeze them like walt disney, then thaw just them out when you decide what to do with them or put them frozen into a time capsual for future people to study.
This is what I do with all of my damsles and other fish. its really the only feaseable/humane/simpleist thing to do in my opinion.

No, keep in mind fish are cold-blooded, so any comparsion to what humans feel doesn't work. We feel pain because our bodies are literally burning itself up to try and keep warm. I guess the best comparsion would like going under from anesthesia. Everything just get slower till you fall asleep.

No, keep in mind fish are cold-blooded, so any comparsion to what humans feel doesn't work. We feel pain because our bodies are literally burning itself up to try and keep warm. I guess the best comparsion would like going under from anesthesia. Everything just get slower till you fall asleep.

Better idea!
Step on it or drop it in liquid nitrogen! absolutley no pain plus if u drop it on the floor it will shatter and your cat can have a frozen treat

First of all...I can tell you right now...I can not kill them...
SECOND...All your ideas would be great if they jumped out of the tank into my hands..LOL...
For now I guess they are staying....unless we catch one or both by hand....I am not going to torment my tank by trying to get them right now...

Thanks...LOL..I made a trap out of netting to catch a raccoon butterfly once...I probably will do the same thing when I decide to catch these guys...I just need to decide when...and then spend the time to do it
