Yep on each return. Check the lines every so often when you to your usual mait' for anything in the connector side of the line. Never hurts to be a little paranoid ;). Be sure to have the pump off BEFORE you disconnect the line to clean the little splicer out if needed. (just to be sure
)

if all of my four returns are connected do I still need one on each return???
Also should I try to frag something for you? I stopped buying stuff for awhile, I want to sit with what's in there for now and see how it will effect the water....I have no idea yet how fast corals take up calcium etc....so I have no sense yet as to how often things will need to be adjusted....but its looking good so far...I need to buy 6 more bulbs to complete the light fixture...Saltn00b has the same fixture, so I will probably just copy what he/she did.

I'd have to see the system to be sure, but typically yes. Nah its ok hold your corals :). Thanks for the offer.
Softies do not mess with calcium much. But the others can. Advice research kalkwasser and other calcium supplementary things. Sounds like a plan with the lights. Do that soon That clam may not have enough light without all the bulbs.

Ok...I'll put them in slowly...also, may need to get a uv for this tank, or go back and read your emails on shading the skylights, because all of the sudden there is alot of algae growing all over the overflow. it was actually beginning to clog up the routed "teeth". Clams are still doing good though and so are all the other corals....

Good good :) Also check phosphate and nitrate levels if its a sudden large bloom. Might mean your over feeding a little, Or nutrient levels are too high, etc, etc. You can put in a refugium (if theres still room in your tanks cabinet) to help consume the nutrients there to control the algae in the main tank better. Also that direct light might be helping your tank do better without the complete light set up too. My advice, if you can afford it after that lovely tank, is to get one of those welded vinyl framed nickel silver plated double pain windows for that skylight. Would help energy costs too. I've seen a sample of a good companies where a 100 watt heat lamp was oh 8 inches away and you could BARELY feel it touching the sample on the other side. Best solution I can think of though not necessarily cheapest easiest or available near you. An alternative if the skylight becomes a big nuisance is to cover it with something OR put a reflector/blocker plate, on the side the tanks on so you can still benefit from the skylight till a better solution comes available. best of luck what ever you choose.

Hmm, phosphate...maybe...The 200 gallon tank has no algae, probably because I am runni ng a uv 24/7...It is also under the skylights, though not in such a direct path, its more over to the side...But also just to keep the house heat down in the summer, I will probably look into changing the skylights to the one's you are talking about....I'll try and price them out and see what it costs....Maybe the handyman who painted the house can install them?...Other than algae, the corals are all doing good....I added a brain and some frogspawn..pics to come later.....I think I need a straight jacket!!!!!

ADDICT! HEH thats news huh? Get a pro to install. Good luck!
EDIT: A licensed bonded and insured one that has a labor warranty for doing it right. Skylights have to be done just right so they don't leak. And you want someone who will back up their work in case it does.

Yes...that's exactly what I'm thinking about the skylights...I don't want a leaking roof!!!
OK the good and bad news is that the rest of my t5 bulbs came yesterday and I'll put them in little by little so as not to shock the corals and clams....
the bad news.....well, if all the lights are in, no reason not to buy more clams!!!!!!!
