great build man
just curious though.... wouldn't aluminum hold more heat than stainless steel
I saw where you said later on you used sheet metal?
just curious because I'm making my reflector as we speak although it is a different design

This was just a metal mock up.I wanted to see how it turned out before i used polished aluminum.I dont think you can get the same reflective achievements using steel and also aluminum is cheaper and easier to bend.

yeah, aluminum is cheaper but you can get mirrored stainless
you can also polish it using steel wool and buffing compound, that's what i'm doing
I just don't want things to get too hot on you

I am confident they wont get to hot,all my other retro spider reflectors are aluminum.

What do you estimate your out of pocket was on each reflector? I do have to say they came out great. Great job

24"x24" sheet of polished aluminum from Hamilton lighting $24
,mogul socket and cord $14 + shipping probably around $50.
This one cost me nothing because i had everything on hand or it was a free bee.

Just right click on the jpeg image and "save as...."
Put it on disk ,take it to Officemax or someplace like that and have them enlarge it to scale.Or do like i did and re-draw it.
