LOL.... It's my sump gremlin. It came with a fw setup someone gave me; I liked It so I decided to keep him in my sump. You are the only one that noticed though.

The sicce pumps are not cheap pumps, the sedra's are not all that, I mean I hear they are good pumps, but the sicce pumps have a few things going for them. It has little to nothing to do with GPH. The MSX pulls a lot of air,has a large volute, a bubble diffuser, the neck of yours does not tapper. These things negate whatever additional height yours has. As I said, I believe the MSX or the Octo Extreme will out perform it.
It says on your public profile you have a diy skimmer as well. Would you post some pictures of it in here please?

That was many moons ago, that skimmer is long gone. And i have gone through a few different skimmers between it and my current Octo NW200.
