Do I have to kill this anemone?

I'm guessing this is a mojano because it doesn't look like any aiptasia I've seen, but it's SO BIG and kinda pretty. It doesn't seem to be bothering anybody - do I really have to kill it? It's probably 3 inches in diameter.

kill that sucker, it will multiply like crazy without being kept in check.
it makes me laugh because up until a few years ago people actually traded and sought after aiptasia and majano for their tanks and now its kill kill kill. very interesting how the trends in this hobby change. i mean, even now ive seen people try to get rid of green star polyps and xenia calling them weeds. who knows, maybe 10 years from now people will call zoas a nuisance.

Yes!!! you do
It is an aiptasia and take it from me I already have made that mistake, and now my kill count is in the thousands. If you don't take care of it now you can end up with something like this in just a couple months and then it is very difficult to get rid of them. This picture is of my tank a couple years ago. It got much worse even after this photo, wish I would have taken pics then so that I could share them on threads like these but at the time I was disgusted with my tank and didn't want any evidence.

Wow - pretty much unanimous. Since I posted the question because I trust all of your opinions I will take the advice and, um, uh........ there MUST be a better word than KILL! I will "prevent it's ability to reproduce". Yeah - that's it!
I even have a hard time killing plants, but to know this is more like an animal than a plant makes it more difficult. I'll pretend it's a weed. And actually, since seeing that photo (love the red nose on the tang!) it actually IS a weed.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll do the dirty deed tonight.

it might be a curly cue anemone. i had for one over a year with no problems and no reproduction. i really liked it. i might leave it and only kill it if you start to notice more. BTW, i really like that second picture you took of it.

DO I HEAR A REPRIEVE OR A STAY OF EXECUTION IN AlIX'S POST!?!?!?!?!?

I mean, if it were UNANIMOUS then I would simply have to adhere to the voice of the masses but it's no longer unanimous..... wouldn't it be unAmerican of me to "euthanize" it now? (not sure that word works, either. To euthanize is to put something out of its misery and this anemone looks truly happy).
And wouldn't I see a bunch of other's popping up by now if it were going to reproduce out of control? I have peppermint shrimp in there - perhaps they are taking care of any offspring, but this sucker is way too big - I think it would easily eat a shrimp!
