Do I have Worms?

I noticed some white stringy things on the bottom of live rock, are these worms? They're kind of stringy and about 2-3 inches? Are these bad?

I don't think it's either of those. These are white, they don't really appear to move. My wife thinks it's more some type of plant but I don't agree.

Spaghetti worm tentacles are white, which is the part you see above the sand. Vermetid snails are stationary and emit a white thread to pull in food.
I agree with Guy, prolly spaghetti (terebellid) worms or vermetid snails. I'm leaning toward the snail.

I have seen sponges that grow what looks like white tentacles. A picture or a very detail description will help.
