This issue isn't real vital in a FOWLR tank. However (IMO), there should always be considerable water movement in any SW tank and there should be surface agitation to encourage gas exchange. Good water movement will also help get crud to your filter by eliminating dead spots on the substrate where detritus can accumulate. I think fish are more naturally active with good water flow. What you have now, in regards to filtration, skimming, etc., would determine whether you need more water movement. Maybe a good test would be to watch food; if it doesn't move quite a bit in the tanks natural current, or if you have little piles of crud on the bottom; you probably could use a couple of PHs.

just look at the ocean. it doesnt stay still. If watch youtube videos of the great barrier reef the flow there is unheard of and its one of the most gorgeous places in the world.
So Yes you do :)

would definitely recommend powerheads. I have a 125 FOWLR and have 6 powerheads including cannister filter output, 2 Coralia 3's, 1 Coralia 2, Submariner in-tank UV output and and another PH that sweeps flow at the surface. Water flow promotes flow through your fishes gills as well as moving detritus through filter intakes

k what? K 3 or 4? I would add a total of 4. 1 K4 on each side. Then place a k2 on the same side of each k4 but lower on the side glass.
Then point your returns in the middle and get some flow behind the rocks.
