I have compared what Seventh Day Adventist teach to other denominations and I found it to be true.
If I find a woman I want to spend the rest of my life with, and she is a Christian, I don't care what denomination she is. She's going to Heaven either way, the things that divide the denominations are minor un important details.
I'll give you an example. I'll compare my denomination(Seventh Day Adventist) to Lil Tankers(Baptist) and show you how un important that is.

I don't eat pork and such, but I know that you're not going to go to hell if you do. It is more of a health issue, brought up in the Bible.
-Saturday is the Day of Rest
I don't play XBOX etc. on the Sabbath, because it is more to be a relaxing day focused on God. But I will go on the internet, talk with friends, etc. I don't think I'd go to Hell if I watched a TV show or played XBOX on Sabbath, but still somethin when I'm at home I chose not to do. When I'm at a friends house I'll do whatever.

They got that because Jesus rose on a Sunday (another example no Biblical reference saying any thing about changing it to Sunday)
They do whatever on the day or rest, just not work. (nothing wrong with that).
These are just minor things. Either way, none of those reasons are going to prevent us from getting to Heaven.
Also the whole how you grow up makes you who you are, I find that untrue. If that is then I'd be a non sports fan, liberal tree hugger. I'm completely oppisite.

Not everyone agrees on what the word of God is. You still have to make the choice of what scripture to follow.

In a way I guess you're right. We need to figure out what parts of the Old Testament to believe is still true now but for me I just believe that certain meats are not "unclean" now but just not good for you. Also I believe that all the Bible is true it's just whether it is all still applicable is the question. Things changed when Jesus came. He said no more sacrificing because He is our sacrifice, He said everything is clean etc.

hmmmm... you know what I just realized you guys have been saying that this poll is extremely one sided right? But how much more one sided is the "do you believe in evolution" thread I haven't seen anyone say anything about that???? I wonder why does anyone know? or am I the only one that feels this way?

The issue isn't just what parts of the bible you believe in, the issue is much larger since there plenty of other holy scriptures out there.

With the evolution poll the question was do you believe or not. This poll does not simply ask if you believe in a creator because the only other option provided is that you do no believe in God at all. Also, many people had mentioned in the evolution thread that there are different parts of evolution and some people agree on some and disagree on others.

Which time... Ive been deploying to the middle east since 1987. Pick an area and a time, chances are I have photos. This has not been my experience. Maybe you are thinking of Afghanistan and Palestine based on CNN footage?
The middle east is an armpit, but the people of the oil producing countries Ive seen are far from being impoverished. I rember going through the Suez Canal 6 times in 91 during Desert Shield/storm. Ive spent time in Dubai, Jebel Ali, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Israel, Turkey, Iraq ... and many others... pick an area...and with the exception of Iraq these people live very well. Nothing near the poverty level seen in the African Continent or in parts of Asia. I saw more Arabs driving Rolls Royces around wearing expensive jewely than you see Americans in the US. It was as if thier income was disposable, same for kuwait.
We trained their pilots in the mid 90s. These guys would show up every week with new sports cars. They werent leasing them either.
The average person over there lives very well. The reason I think it sucks is because of the humidity and heat (that and nothing green grows), most of the middle east smells like a litter box and when/if the oil dries up it will be worthless. You are mistaking a cultural choice and way of live for a lack of money. Look around more and you will see what I mean.

Give me a verse where Jesus says, ok you can eat pork and worship on Sunday.

hes talking about peter or paul? when God sent unclean animals down from heaven on a sheet saying to eat them , God was preparing him to meet with the gentiles

Ok I can respect that. Again that is another minor issue that doesn't have anything to do where you'll spend eternity. I also can't eat shrimp and other ocean fishes and inverts because i've seen them in captivity and I know what shrimp and stuff eat. I don't think I could get a shrimp down. And most pork like Bacon is majority fat. Not the best source for protein, etc.
