i wouldnt listen to me

over the years there sure has been alot of newer and better equiptment that came along.i really dont keep up with it.
although i did just set up a phosphate reactor with a new media.they are pellets that you push just enough water through so the stay at the bottom and move around.they dissolve over time.not like the usual stuff you have to change out once a month.so i am curious how this new stuff works.
i do remember my first skimmer though.a tube with a wood air block on the bottom.there was no hypo back then, they told you to just raise the temp in the tank.yea this hobby has come a long way in just my time in it.the skimmer i just bought looks like a space shuttle.
