Do you guys ever forget the enjoyment

Don't have a tank yet, but reading threads some people seem like they get so defensive and I was wondering if after doing top-offs, WC's, testing, building stuff, and etc. do you guys ever forget to sit back and enjoy the tank?

after all the work and there's nothing else you can do for awhile to the tank, it is fun to just take hours and watch it. Can't fully be happy until i get everything in the tank i want . Give me another month or 2 and i'll be fully happy though.

To me, there is still nothing like pulling up a chair and losing myself for hours in the happenings of the tank. This may explain why I love gobies and blennies so much; it's so enjoyable to watch them move in and out of the rock work.

I spend atleast an hour a day starring at the tank...
Watching everything going on.
It's like having a little city in your house and being able to watching over it..

Same here. I have a love seat in front of mine. I spend more time looking at it than watching tv

Hiya,
I'm not completely new to keeping an aquarium, but this is my first attempt with SW.
I can't WAIT to get home from work and plop myself down infront of my tank and see what new things have happened in the last 10 hours. My husband laughs at me since I don't even change into my comfy cloths before I sit down.
Granted....I have yet to do my first water change and all that other stuff that everyone does to thier tank to keep it up and going.

i used to sit in front of my 135 aggressive for at least 30 min before i went into work everyday. then when i woulsd come home i would lay on my water bed and just enjoy for hours on end. i absolutly love it.

lets just put it this way, on one end of our living room is a 60inch projection tv, on the other is my 135 and 55........ill let you figure out which way the couches face:notsure:

I am going to start going back to school in Spring to pursue my bachelors since I have an associates degree and I'm slowly thinking that I might want to have a desk in my room butted up against the 75g I'll be running... i just can't wait until I finish buying everything so i can get it going... I can't wait
