Do any of you like SWF.coms new topic board things? Just wanted to see what most people like and dislike about it. I think that its cool now that there is more to talk about, but its harder for me to get around and find the topics that I want.

Its very confusing . It will take some getting used to . It might be good in the long term , But for now I am going to go with a big NO.

personally i do, but i think the "ask SWF" forum is a mistake. it is just going to fill up with people wanting more smilies, more forums, more contests, more this, that. i dont think itll last very long.

If it outlives it's usefulness it can be nuked, but I think it is helpful at least until people get used to the changes.
btw, I agree. Change is good.

The softis, sps, lps, zoathids.. those forums should be sub forums available to choose after you click the Corals forum on the main board page.. and etc with some of the others... like the 'NO NO NO' inside the 'Resposible aquarium keeping' section
It just needs cleaned up.. I think all the forums can stay there just needs to be fewer choices on the main board page.. its hard to look at with that long list.

I think that it was a good idea to expand. There are quite a few now though. It may not have needed to expand quite so far. It will certainly take some getting used to.

I like the change. Some organization with topics and subtopics would be nice (or at least indentation of sub topics). The only one I personally don't see the need for is fish-only tanks. The old aggressive wasn't particular packed and any specific questions on fish-only could be answer on another topics).

Too many topics! It'll take awhile to adjust to. I'm glad inverts have their own topic.

excess of topics was exactly the reason i stay away from other forums, its way to confusing and the information is spread too thin.

I like it, but there are a little to many... I dont think we need so many coral ones, and just some other odds and ends.
I do hope it will work out. I am not leaving swf.com b/c they changed.

Having just discovered the plethora of new topics, I think it is too soon to form an opinion.
BTW, there used to be more smilies to choose from, wasn't there??

Yes I like some of them, but there are a few that I dont really think are needed. They need to after a few weeks if some are not being used, or posted on, take them down.

I like that they are adding more, but they are adding A LOT MORE! Too much IMO and it's getting confusing. Some of the sections I think we could live without.

It's a step in the right direction, Just need to need to sub forumn off of main topics instead of having everything on the main forumn page as its getting too busy.

I think once people get used to seeing them and posts are made the new topics will blend and become a part of SWF. Humans adapt and in a few months it will be 'normal' to see the new topics. I think they will open the door to lots of new info and newer members joining.
I like, and glad to see the site growing.

IMO there aren't enough. We need a separate topic for each and every species of fish, corals, snails, crabs, shrimp, pod, algae, micro organism.........whew, I got carried away there for a moment! Can you say "overkill"?
