Do You Name Your Fishes?

I often refer to my Mantis Shrimp as Satan. Other than that, my Lionfish is named Layla only because Sepulation forced me to name her.

I name em. But dont refer to them as that. If a friend comes over then I say these are clowns not marlin and coral.

Only the important fish have names. . .lol. I only have 3 fish in my SW tank though, so all of them are important. . .lol

female tomato clown- "Big Momma"
male tomato clown- "Little Papa"

Pygmy Angel- "Speedy" because he runs away from the Flame Angel REAL quick!

My husband loves the movie Finding Nemo so it played a part in what fish we got & what we named them
Small Clownfish - Nemo
Large Clownfish - Marlin
Blue Hippo Tang - Dory
Starfish - Patrick (because I love spongebob)
We also have a sandsifting starfish named Sandy and a large bluelegged hermit crab Mr. Krabbs.

2 baby false percs: Magellan, for his tendency to explore the back filter area of my Biocube (not to mention his inability to find his way back to the front part of the tank!), and Bossy...well...just because she is. Definitely has established herself as the female already!

One of my snails has macro algae growing on her, which will grow back even after I think I've picked all of it off. It looks like a corsage on her shell, so I call her Flora.
