i shower in the morning. I don't get dirty during the day... i don't know what all of you do durning the day that gets you so dirty... If i work out, i shower after that. I also only wash my hair every other day.
Your body sheds dead skin cells continually and also produces oils (fats, or lipids) from the sebaceous glands that rise to the surface of the skin to waterproof it. True, if you wash it off your skin becomes dry, but I prefer to wash my body twice a day to avoid having it on my skin. That doesn't mean that anyone who bathes twice a day is dirty, I just feel kind of gross going to bed with a bunch of secretions on my skin!

lol, but those secretions are good and necessary to have healthy and vital skin, otherwise, your body wouldn't produce them...

Aquaphor is great stuff. I just get the little tube, its about $5 at Target. But like Keleighr said, it goes a looooooonnnng way. Also anything with a main ingredient of shea butter.
My stepmom makes our soap and lip balms. All with real shea butter and cocoa butter.
Its awesome!!
:joy:

sometimes those things have other chemicals in them that are drying. They only say
"shea" becasue what they probably put in there is a minimal amount, just so they can say "shea". Its SUPER expensive in a raw form.
I use the aquaphor on my hands and feet at night. Sometimes gloves or socks over them.

Yeah, I know, that's probably why I scratch like I have fleas all winter because my skin is so dry! I wonder what it is about humans that makes us think that we smell better as a field of flowers rather than our own natural skin smell, so we wash off our own oils and smear on artificial ones???

You know.. I hear people say that all the time and I think its a load of ****. I wash my hair with shampoo EVERY time I shower which is like 3 times a day and I have like seriously the softest hair of any dude in the whole world :p without a doubt! I never use conditioner.. just shampoo.
As for my skin being dry... nope. I use soap every time also and like a couple areas may get dry like my palms but the rest are fine. Also... I NEVER use soap on my face.. ever.. I dont care of my face is growing some sort of man eating bacteria :p No soap goes on this beautiful mug!

You have to wonder if that's why girls don't lick your face.

I moisturize daily with Ocean Potion w/aloe. Tea tree oil is AWESOME!! The only other lotion I've found with it is Australian Gold Tan Extender, but OP is cheaper. Shea butter is good stuff, but most of the lotions I've used that contain it are greasy...YUCK. (I've never used the Aquaphor brand though)
