Does this setup look like it would work?

I did not want to bump my old thread after my questions were answered with the help of everybody.
I created a ghetto schematic in MS paint, does it look promising?
*Keep in mind placement of the items will potentially be different but the general idea is there.

Anything you would change?
My protein skimmer will be purchased in a few weeks, the tank will be getting started on Saturday.

Oh I forgot to draw the other pump in.
Just imagine that another pump will be going from the 16 to the 10 haha.

Seems okay. I probably wouldnt bother with the HOB filter on the sump, that particular filter needs the tank at least 2" from the top to maintain siphon and a bit higher to make sure you dont get bubbles. (I have one on my freshwater and it loses siphon every time I do a water change). You may be able to put it in your DT, but the point of a sump is to have less equipment in the DT.

Dont do that. You'll never get 2 pumps to match well enough to pump from tank A to tank B and back to A. You need an overflow (there is a cheap cool way to do it w/ PVC, costs about 5-10 bux to make).

I will have to check that pvc way out them. Heck losing a pump saves me money.
If I remove the HOB filter from the sump, would I place it in the main tank or just lose it all together?

I would loose it all together use the money and get a overflow 2 pumps are a bad idea unless you like mopping up saltwater or replacing carpet

yeah ms paint is not the best picture in my head but I dont see much wrong there you should be fine. Good luck on the overflow make sure it is sealed so it dont loose syphon but I have seen them work fairly well.
