Ok, need help again. I have 2 white pvc pipes that go through my tank. Each one is threaded at the bottom, and there are 2 gaskets and an octagon shaped flat piece that screws on to compress everything together. I should put one washer on top(inside the tank), and one on the bottom(inside the stand), correct? When i do this i cannot

the piece onto the pvc pipe, because there isnt room between the pipe and edge of stand. What am i doing wrong?
Thanks

Most bulkheads only require 1 gasket and it goes on the inside of the tank.2 would be a plus but not necessary. If you only have enough thread for one gasket then its ok to do that.
Here is a couple of other tips for you TC.This one is important, make sure the part of the bulkhead touching the gasket is flat and smooth "no burs" #2 and not so important but helpful.Use Plumbers Silicone Grease on the gasket,it will help to get a water tight seal.Make sure it is petroleum free.
