BangGuy,
I already am using an auto top off system with a float switch for my tank. I have a 5 gallon reserve tank with RO. Do you recomend dripping seperatly of this or could I turn my resevoir into my kalk doser? I was just concerned that I would be topping off to much kalk at once if I were to use the float valve with the pump.

Limewater is rough on float valves and pumps.
I'd suggest dripping in what you think is slightly less than a daily topoff amount of limewater and let the auto topoff make up the difference.
Pump + limewater is a really bad idea because the limewater has a tendence to get float valves stuck. If it sticks open you have a big problem.

stupid question but does that go for the float switch in the sump and dripping kalk in the sump? does limewater have any effect on the pumps in the tank or only in the reserve? Not sure if I explained this well? Also right now my cal is at 380 and my dkh is at 7. I am assuming that I can use a little extra kalk to get these levels close to 420 and 9 respectively. Is this correct?

Use a pressure switch instead of float. They are more expensive but don't have the sticking problem or the snail problem. They do cost more however.
