Droid Users?

Yup, deletes from the phone. Then when you go to your desktop or laptop to check your email, the one you deleted from the phone is still there and you must delete it again. If the phone gave the option to "delete from server" it would not be on the desktop or laptop again.

Mine does that for one of my accounts, which is just a standard POP3 email account for my business but for Gmail and Hotmail it deletes from both the phone and the server.

Now we are getting somewhere. Wonder why the POP3 account leaves it on the server? She says it is more annoying than anything seeing the same emails on the desktop and laptop after deleting them on the phone. Just an added step to get them off the desk and laptops.

Is she browsing to the webpage to get her email on the Droid or using an App to do it directly? With Gmail and Hotmail I am using Apps (gmail comes with the phone whle Hotmail is via a downloaded app) For my business email I have it set up just with Droid's native email client and that is the one that seems to leave messages on the server

I have Gmail on my Droid and it deletes completely. If I sign on to my computer later on, I do not have to delete again. I think it's that she is not using Gmail

Surely there is a setting somewhere that gives you the option of only deleting it on the phone or not.

Just did a test with mine and with standard POP3 email accounts it does not seem to delete it from the server. I know when I had a Blackberry it would give you the option but the Droid does not.
