Dsb???

I have been thinking of expanding my sand bed and making it deeper in hopes of reducing my nitrates. I have read about the modern berlin method and am wondering if anyone had any success? If so how did you contruct your sand bed and how deep?

If you increase it about 1/2" a week up to 4 or 5 inches it should begin to reduce Nitrate in a few months. This is providing it has a diversity of sand bed infauna and no sand sifters.
