What is your stand on this?
No, I am not wanting to do this, but I heard someone talking about it today.

I agree. I have seen pictures of poodles with pink hair and rabbits done at Easter. Just plain waist of money plus the poor pet..

My opinion...it is your pet, as long as you are not harming it (withholding food, medicine for example) do what you want. Critters (dogs and cats anyway)don't care what they look like, just what they smell like.
I will reserve my ire for those who fight thier dogs, people who starve thier pets and don't give them love and oher cruel acts. If you want a pink critter, I will try hard not to spit my milk out when I look at it laughing, but that is your own business.

my thoughts on it is one its a big waste of money. second you dont know what chemicles are safe for the animals. its not like we can tell the dog,cat ect not to lick there fur which is natural for animals to do.. i also feel that dressing a animal in these stupid little outfits is a waste of money granted if the animal needs to wear something to keep it healthy then by all means go for it. But to each there own i guess

Get one that is CTFA-approved.
What's the harm. It's no more than a bath!
And no I wouldn't do it, it look ridiculous. But I wouldn't have a problem with others doing it.

IMHO....
Your pet most likely does not care what colour it is lol
Cats, well, most cats don't really like baths much all around and they groom themselves by licking all the time so I doubt I'd dye my cat - I do lionshave her tho! If I don't she hucks up huge hairballs all the time, even with brushing and I'm worried one will get stuck, so sure, I lionshave her - and I LIKE the way it looks. She doesn't go outside, she's never cold, she is happier without all of that hair actually."wild" cats do not have the ridiculous amounts of long hair that we have bred into some of our domestic cats.

If the dying can be done safely, with nontoxic dyes with no harm to the pet
, sure, go for it, if it makes you happy your dog will probably be happy too - I coloured parts of Phoebe with kid-safe water-washable TOTALLY non-toxic crayola markers one Halloween and she LOVED The attention it got her, she got to sit out front at work with a sign saying "Please don't feed the dinosaur" and she was so happy, she loves people. My dog is really barely a dog at all, she certainly doesn't think she's a dog as no one's ever told her.

I think it's up to personal opinion.
(Dyed easter pets or injected/tattooed fish I don't agree with, those practices are not safe or humane, but I don't think that's what this topic was about)
