In my opinion there is no fish easier to propogate than the Banggai Cardinalfish. The main reason they are easy is because the fry have no larval stage. They are miniature Banggai as soon as they hatch and ready to eat real food as soon as the yolk sac is gone.

Do pajama cardinals produce as easily?
They seem to breed readily but 2 things make them more difficult.
1 - The male spits the babies out as they hatch instead of holding them for a few days.
2 - They are hatched much smaller than baby Banggai and need Rotifers or powdered Cyclop-Eeze. They do not seem to take to dead food as readily as Banggai.

how do you identify Banggai Cardinalfish males and females? and if you have pics of males and females to help identifying tha t would be great thanks
If they are immature I can't tell the difference.
If they have mated then the males jaw is much larger.
banggai babaies are born with a --- distribution ratio of 1:1 (male/female), they are pretty much unsexable.
However if you keep the juvies in a small group til they reach 3-6 months you'll see pairs start to "pair off", problem is--they are brothers/sisters, and its unclear what inbeeding will do long term.
neon gobies are ranked among the most easliy bred of all marine fish. this was info from my book. so maybe have a look into that at least they are cheaper to buy then the beautifull bengaii's
