Eel ?

They get about 18" thay are not a true eel.

I have kept ghost ribbon eels in a reef. They stay fairly small. About a 1/2" in diameter, and grow to around 30" in length.
I have a zebra in one of my tanks. While he has not bothered any of his tank mates, I have never put shrimp in the tank. I figure he would most likely eat a shrimp in a heart beat. They grow failry large however, and are very messy eaters.

There are different types of Wolf eels...the green wolf eel is not a real eel, it's a member of the goby family..if you look it has fins. I saw one the other day at the LFS and the fins is what gave it away as not a real eel.
Although he didn't specify what type of eel, i just assumed he meant green wolf as it is small.
i just looked it up and the record for a wolf eel is 8 feet, umm not gona lie thats a big eel

Huh, I have a green wolf eel, I thought that the fact that it had fins was wierd. Honestly I have had SW tanks for around ten years now, and the green wolf eel has been the most awsome "eel" that I have had, It looks awsome, and it hunts live food just like any other agressive fish I have.....I have had it for about two years now and he is only around ten inches long but very thick. I would definatly recommend it for your tank.

if im not mistaken for a reef if you had a big enough sand bed wouldnt a garden eel be a good choice
