Emerald Crab Died

Not sure why, all my levels seem to be fine... it might have just be too stubborn to go to the other rocks to get some of the hair algae and starved. It's also possible the hair algae is a bit too long for him which bums me out, but I have officially lost one of my inverts.

Are you sure? They molt..and believe me.....a lot (most) of the times the molts look just like the whole crab...
If it is a molt, you will not see the crab for a day or 2

Is it your crab or a shed? Emerald sheds tend to fool me every time. They are very complete looking.

When I picked it up I tapped on the back and it was hard. It had all the legs and everything... I'm going to assume it was the actual crab... it I looked at the bottom of it, the top of it, and there was no sign of it having a broken part on the body. Pretty sure it's the actual crab.

I would have left it anyway......it was now food for the inverts....
I will not be surprised at all in a day or two when you see your guy
